The Long Bob // All about the Hair

Sunday 4 October 2015

Sometimes we all need a change. It makes us feel free and alive. It was too much to take care of. I found myself trying to get all of the knots out at the back of my head with no luck at all. Now I can just brush through easily. I may go shorter. What do you guys think? Thank you Hannah for helping me out with these.

Lazy Long Weekend // Parry Sound

Monday 7 September 2015

Driving north up highway 400 going the speed limit of course, “Freddy” my silver chevy cavalier wound through the high standing rocks with the free standing inukshuks, markings from cottage travelers up north for the weekend. It’s nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of crowded toronto streets every once and awhile. Setting our radio to “The mouse”. Thomas watching me belt out the top 40 in amazement as if I was speaking a new language, as he still has a bit of catching up to do after two years on his mission without a radio. We visited the cottage lazed around the campfire. Roasted giant evenly golden marsh mellows. Jumped off the dock. Even had some time to explore downtown Parry Sound. I’ve been giving Thomas private photography lessons (Really doesn’t need them, He's shooting is on point)

Broadview Hill // The Perfect Spot

Thursday 4 June 2015

The Toronto skyline has one of the most majestic and memorable; The CN Tower often acts as a compass for many of our young commuters. One of our favourite spots to enjoy this magical skyline is Broadview Park. Known for its very steep hills and scenery as it is home to quite a few romantic films. If that doesn’t have you catching the next bus there I don’t know what will. Emily and I stumbled upon the park after a busy few hours hustling and bustling through the city, when we saw the vast green space we were instantly drawn to it. Both Emily and I equally giggling about how it would be a perfect date spot, to cuddle up on a blanket in the fields after a nice dinner.

Toronto has many great places to go, but for the view Broadview is properly named. No other park holds such a brilliant skyline! Not to mention its creamy colourful sunsets. It’s easy to see why major movie productions like “The F Word” chose this spot to film! As we watched young couples strolling about the park and a few just catching the sunset on thick woollen blankets, Emily captured me taking panoramas! I couldn’t stop myself from feasting my eyes on the glorious views.

Allen Gardens // Artist Feature

Monday 1 June 2015

There is a place in the city, a place where the ceiling is clear and the floor is green. Beyond the bustle of Dundas and Queen, set back from a road full of cabs and pedestrians, there is a building set aside for nature. The glass doors of the Allan Gardens Conservatory are left perpetually open, ready and waiting for the casual passerby, the eager botanist, or the chilled city-dweller searching for some tropical warmth. Inside, the heat creeps over her skin and she looks up, seeing a tangle of leaves held stark against the blue of the distant sky.

She weaves her way through the foliage with a rustle of fabric and a sigh of contentment; she pauses by a mound of cacti, stops at a pond brimming with turtles. There is a bed of orchids here, a flock of palm trees there. It is quiet. It is humid. Above, the building arches over it all, a glass and wood and brick nest housing a cluster of the exotic and the colourful and the growing. There is a place in the city, a place for a snatched half hour of paradise.
