How the streets light up at night and all of the hustle and bustle of people getting there morning coffee.  This photo was taken on the top floor of the OCAD building, where Emily goes to school. Emily and I are all about accessories. They are the perfect way to make your (ever so fabulous but maybe just a tad bit boring) outfit into one that will turn heads walking down Queen street. The best part is, accessories don't always have to be expensive so it's a look that everyone can rock, even on a budget. Thrift stores are the perfect place to find super unique pieces that will make all your friends jealous. We just absolutely fell in love with how dainty this necklace was and paired with an open back shirt made it all the better. Now you might have noticed that we didn't exactly have a low back shirt on us, so we just tried on a bunch of top backwards and were actually blown away with the results. Cinnamon Grapefruit

As all of you know, we make our mission to try new things. So we decided to make a new breakfast food that neither of use have had! This recipe is super easy and absolutely delicious. It's just grapefruit with cinnamon sugar sprinkled on top. Seriously who ever thought of this is pure genius. You can find the recipe here. What's your favourite breakfast food?

Girls and Flowers

So this week we got our hands on this gorgeous bouquet from Elizabeth Grace Events. Boys take notes because we are about to give you some insight to the female mind. With Valentines day just around the corner we know that guys are planning to go with the classic dozen roses, but like... really? Get a little more creative than that. A girl's favourite flowers can tell so much about her personality and can really show her how much you care. Roses are just so impersonal (unless it's her favourite) and it just seems that you don't know her at all. For example, are you dating a bubbly, fun, energetic girl? We would suggest going with Gerbera Daisies. Talking with any florist they will be able to make you the perfect, original bouquet for your sweetheart. So this year, skip the trip to Walmart and make an effort with this gift by going to check out some of Toronto's best floral designers, (supporting local businesses is a perk to this plan) and we can assure you that you're girl will be swooning. Industrial Improv

As we were walking down the street today we noticed that there were no construction workers on this site so we decided to take advantage of the opportunity, since we had a camera in hand and everything.  It was a tad bit chilly but I'd say it was completely worth it.

Get Ready For February!

It’s a new month, so here’s what you are going to be seeing in the coming weeks from Honey Scout. There will be a few household items you cannot live without from Emily. Greens are really in for the winter season so you can keep the inside bright while it’s white outside. The eiffel chair is still a staple for any home while fur pillows and yummy candles make entertaining a breeze. Mel and Emily have been hard at work. We super excited to be working with a bunch of different brands and local Toronto talent. We cannot tell you what's happening but all we can say is it's going to be big.
